LED Light
Learn About LED Light
What are LEDs and how do they work?
LED stands for light-emitting diode. LED lights ;produce light up to 90% more efficiently than incandescent light bulbs. How do they work? An electrical current passes through a microchip, which illuminates the tiny light sources we call LEDs and the result is visible light. To prevent performance issues, the heat LEDs produce is absorbed into a heat sink.

The lifetime of LED Light
The useful life of LED lights is defined differently than that of other light sources, such as incandescent or compact fluorescent lighting (CFL). LEDs typically do not “burn out” or fail. Instead, they experience ‘lumen depreciation, wherein the brightness of the LED dims slowly over time. Unlike incandescent bulbs, LED “lifetime” is established on a prediction of when the light output decreases by 30 percent.
How are LEDs Used in Lighting
LEDs are incorporated into bulbs and fixtures for general lighting applications. Small in size, LEDs provide unique design opportunities. Some LED bulb solutions may physically resemble familiar light bulbs and better match the appearance of traditional light bulbs. Some LED light fixtures may have LEDs built in as a permanent light source. There are also hybrid approaches where a non-traditional “bulb” or replaceable light source format is used and specially designed for a unique fixture. LEDs offer a tremendous opportunity for innovation in lighting form factors and fit a wider breadth of applications than traditional lighting technologies.

Solar Street Light
Solar street lights ;are raised light sources which are powered by solar panels generally mounted on the lighting structure or integrated into the pole itself. The solar panels charge a rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescent or LED lamp during the night.

Most solar lights turn on and turn off automatically by sensing outdoor light using solar panel voltage. Solar streetlights are designed to work throughout the night. Many can stay lit for more than one night if the sun is not in the sky for an extended period of time. Older models included lamps that were not fluorescent or LED. Solar lights installed in windy regions are generally equipped with flat panels to better cope with the winds. Modern designs use wireless technology and fuzzy control theory for battery management. The street lights using this technology can operate as a network with each light having the capability of performing the turning on and off of the network.

The Importance of Effective Street Light Poles | Street Lighting Poles
We pass by street lights and lighting poles every time we’re on the road and they help illuminate things into sight when everything gets dark. Good lighting brightens the design and grandeur of a particular space and brings out its best aspects. Public spaces are changing rapidly and that includes the street poles used to light up our roads. As people incorporate smart devices into their lives, smart technology can be used to benefit both public services and the community around them. There are many possibilities for street lighting poles ;beyond illuminating our neighborhoods. ;

Lighting is as effective as the equipment it is made of and helps illuminate streets with industry-grade tubular steel or aluminum poles that get the job done safely and efficiently. ;
Pedestrian Safety
Lighting poles provide security and safety for those driving on the road or those walking nearby. As they are spaced out appropriately between each other, they can eliminate dark spots and alert people of other potential hazards like trees, shrubs, or extra larger buildings. This not only protects the driver but also the pedestrians walking or biking along. Moreover, the appropriate spacing of street lights also prevents glare from distracting drivers on the road, so they know where they’re driving and who’s in view. ;
More lighting can also help deter criminal activity in certain cases and give people some peace of mind whenever they are outside. Better coverage of blind spots or dark areas lets people know where others are and what is happening at every moment. ;
The perfect street lighting pole not only does its job effectively but can also look good in doing so. They can add a beautiful ambiance, beauty, and appeal to a plain, open space. Depending on the design, they can also blend well with historic infrastructures, business areas, or any residential community. ;
Good lighting, in general, can also be used to effectively highlight other features of an area such as statues, fountains, gardens, and so much more. Seeing more of your surroundings can help you appreciate the area you frequent often. ;

Stainless Steel VS. Chrome Finishes – the Debate
Stainless Steel pole ;is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. They are silver in color and are made of a combination of alloys (here comes the techy bit; Stainless steels are iron alloys with a minimum of 10.5% chromium. Other alloying elements are added to enhance their structure and properties such as formability, strength, and cryogenic toughness), and provide a super-strong base for our poles.

Stainless Steel poles are highly polished to give a smooth and shiny finish. This produces a pole that is great for a variety of pole tricks and routines. This finish can prove slippery for some people and also requires more grip strength to use, so maybe more suited to a slightly more advanced user, but, this can also be a great investment for a new poler to push themselves and learn with equipment that will challenge them along their journey.

What Is a Solar Panel?
Solar energy begins with the sun. Solar panels (also known as "PV panels") are used to convert light from the sun, which is composed of particles of energy called "photons", into electricity that can be used to power electrical loads.

Solar panels can be used for a wide variety of applications including remote power systems for cabins, telecommunications equipment, remote sensing, and of course for the production of electricity by residential and commercial solar electric systems.
The Benefits of Solar Panels
Using solar panels is a very practical way to produce electricity for many applications. The obvious would have to be off-grid living. Living off-grid means living in a location that is not serviced by the main electric utility grid. Remote homes and cabins benefit nicely from solar power systems. No longer is it necessary to pay huge fees for the installation of electric utility poles and cabling from the nearest main grid access point. A solar electric system is potentially less expensive and can provide power for upwards of three decades if properly maintained.
Besides the fact that solar panels make it possible to live off-grid, perhaps the greatest benefit that you would enjoy from the use of solar power is that it is both a clean and renewable source of energy. With the advent of global climate change, it has become more important that we do whatever we can to reduce the pressure on our atmosphere from the emission of greenhouse gases. Solar panels have no moving parts and require little maintenance. They are ruggedly built and last for decades when properly maintained.
Last, but not least, of the benefits of solar panels and solar power is that, once a system has paid for its initial installation costs, the electricity it produces for the remainder of the system's lifespan, which could be as much as 15-20 years depending on the quality of the system, is absolutely free! For grid-tie solar power system owners, the benefits begin from the moment the system comes online, potentially eliminating monthly electric bills, and this is the best part, actually earning the system's owner additional income from the electric company. How? If you use less power than your solar electric system produces, that excess power can be sold, sometimes at a premium, to your electric utility company!

Half Cell Solar Panels
Half-cell solar panels ;have a high increasing demand in the PV market because of their high performance and durability. Half-cell solar panel is manufactured by halving the silicon solar cells precisely in a symmetrical way using a laser cutter then, stringing the cells by inserting conductive thin lines called busbars to connect the halved cells. This technology advances the solar panel output, accordingly, increasing the efficiency of the solar power systems. For example, the 60 cells solar panel reaches 120 half-cells having low interspacing between the cells that reduce the electricity loss and generate more power.

The advantages of the Half-cell modules:
1. Increase the durability of the solar panel.
2. Higher output rating than the traditional module.
3. Lower mechanical stress and low cracking potentiality.
4. Solve the limitation of the installation areas.
5. High efficiency in the shade.
